Madeleine Morrissey BA Hons. Psychology, BPC reg., FPC, SAP, MBPS Counselling & Psychotherapy in Chiswick, Acton
and West London

I am a professionally qualified counsellor, psychoanalytic psychotherapist and analytical psychologist with over 20 years' experience. I have done several different trainings. I work in private practice and part time in the NHS as a Principal Adult Psychotherapist. I also have substantial experience supervising other counsellors and therapists, both qualified and in training.

I have a degree in psychology and am a graduate member of the British Psychological Society as well as having a background in teaching both adults and children. I hold a Certificate in Education.

I completed my initial professional training as a psychodynamic counsellor at WPF Therapy, one of the most highly respected and widely recognised training bodies in the UK where I am a full member of the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy section of the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC). I have also worked for WPF in the past as a counsellor (including in a GP surgery), supervisor and tutor.

I am also a member of the Society of Analytical Psychology (SAP), where I undertook a more intensive, analytic training, following qualifying at WPF/FPC.

As a member of both of the above institutions, I am bound by their respective Codes of Ethics and Complaints Procedures.

In addition, I have trained in time-limited and solution focused therapy, and am recognised as a counsellor and therapist by CIC /Confidential Care, an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) provider.

I am registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and have been registered in the past (and remain eligible for registration) with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). All of these organisations act to maintain standards and ethics in the profession. I am a member of the Association for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the NHS (APP).
