Madeleine Morrissey BA Hons. Psychology, BPC reg., FPC, SAP, MBPS Counselling & Psychotherapy in Chiswick, Acton
and West London

I have over 20 years' experience offering counselling, psychotherapy or analysis to individuals from a great variety of backgrounds. My initial training was in psychodynamic counselling which involved seeing people once weekly, following which I undertook a training in Jungian analysis, which enabled me to work with people 4x weekly. I have done many further courses so am qualified and experienced in working in a number of different ways, depending on individual need and preference.

Alongside my private practice, I also work part time in the NHS where I am employed as a Principal Adult Psychotherapist. People seek help for a great variety of reasons and difficulties, some of which are listed below. Other people may not be able to specify exactly what the difficulty is other than perhaps feeling troubled in some way. From experience, I know that psychotherapy can be very helpful. You are welcome to contact me. There is further information available on the other pages of this website.

From my experience, and there is also an increasing evidence base, I know that psychodynamic psychotherapy can be very helpful, enabling people to understand themselves at greater depth, which then enables them to bring about changes they may want to make. Having undergone a number of trainings, I am qualified to work both long and short term depending on individual need and preference.

I also offer supervision to individuals or small groups.

My consulting room is in Chiswick, W4 in West London. The nearest tube stations are Turnham Green or Chiswick Park (10-15 minutes walk). There are also buses, including the 94, 440 and the E3 which stop nearby. South Acton Overground station is 10-15 minutes walk away. There is limited parking- including 4 hr meters at the junction of St Alban's Ave with Southfield Rd.
